Is TabWay a standalone browser?
TabWay is a Chrome desktop extension that lives in the browser’s side panel. Your web pages, the top tab bar, and native tab groups keep working as usual.
Is it free to use right now?
TabWay is currently free. AI features connect to your own model provider; cloud services may charge separately. Local Ollama is supported too.
What’s the difference between Sleep, Stash, and Read later?
Sleep frees some of the resources a page is using while the tab stays in the browser; Stash saves and closes a whole batch, restorable together later; Read later saves a single article, and reopening it doesn’t mark it done automatically.
Does the AI read all of my open pages?
Ask My Tab only processes the sources you pick and sends them to the model provider you configured. You can review or remove sources, or connect local Ollama. The demo on this site uses preset samples only and never reads your real tabs. See the privacy policy for details.
Which browsers and devices are supported?
Currently aimed at desktop Chrome 121 and above. You can browse this site on mobile, but installing and using the extension happens on a computer.
